"I just placed two orders through DistributorCentral, and I'm never, ever going back to the way I did things before. I'm only using DistributorCentral and the suppliers that are connected to it. I'm ashamed to say it took us a very long time to actually USE DistributorCentral to place orders. We were using some of the suppliers but not submitting the orders through the management portion of the site. Instead, we were calling the orders in to the supplier or faxing them over. Truthfully, most of the time, I was using the ASI Register Plus CD that we buy every year to find products and suppliers. WELL, NO MORE!!! That CD NEVER has updated prices and I waste so much time double checking everything and wondering if I found all the little extra charges that might apply. Last week I had a repeat customer that ordered two different products. I spent over two hours researching and double checking prices for them with the tools I've purchased through ASI. I finally became so frustrated double checking figures that I thought, "I'm just going to limit my search to the suppliers on DistributorCentral." See, I was in the mindset that not a lot of suppliers had signed up with you and that my product base would not be as broad as the ASI Register Plus CD. I was so wrong. I did all of the searching I needed for those two products, found the quantity, price and turnaround time that I needed and I did it all in about 5 minutes. I emailed the link to our client and she was thrilled. At that point I wondered why I had wasted so much time before! After our client placed the order, I decided that I would try the 'order management' section of DistributorCentral. What a snap! I wish I would have done this when we first signed up with you! Instead, I was just too focused on getting the website hosted and connected to the catalog then I became side-tracked with other priorities. If I would have spent the time to look through the other services you offer, I would have been impressed long ago. I can't thank you enough for making this process so easy. One of the greatest advantages, from my perspective, is that the suppliers are updating their own product information so I KNOW it's current. No more fearful double-checking of figures and colors. The second greatest advantage...it doesn't cost me anything. I might as well throw away my ASI Register Plus CD. I'm never going back! By the way, I have to be pretty inspired to write a note of praise. Please send my praise to your entire staff for making my job a heck of a lot easier. They all deserve the kudos!
